# Emion

*Cliffed Multi-Islands · 4k, Download, 1.16+, Multibiome, Java & Bedrock, Survival Map / RPG Map*

Emion is a realistic Minecraft island... it's 4 km by 4 km made by McMeddon. It's a rugged Island with multiple huge mountain ranges, spruce; oak; birch(new); and Jungle alive / dead forests (new), huge cliffs, dezent plains, a dry land, dry coast and custom vegetation and a snowy tundra. A new river system that flow from the mountains all the way to the sea, which crosses through the huge lands of this island. Take a boat and cross the ocean with a near-seamless transition to the default Minecraft (in java)

Shares are measured across the built map. Past its edge the world keeps generating normal vanilla Minecraft chunks, so biomes missing from this list can still be found out there.

- Normal Caves: 100%
- Magma Caves: 0.1% (inferred from surrounding blocks)

Inferred types have no biome of their own in Minecraft. They are named from the blocks around the cave rather than read from the save.

## Structures

2 of 19 confirmed present. A pinned marker outranks the scan; anything not confirmed is what the scan alone recorded.

Counted inside the built map. Past its edge the world keeps generating normal vanilla Minecraft chunks, so structures not confirmed here can still generate out there.

## Questions about this world

### What is Emion?

Emion is a hand-made survival world of 4,096 × 4,096 blocks, made with WorldPainter, World Machine, Gaea, Axiom and WorldEdit, built for Minecraft Java 1.16. You download the world folder and play it like any other save, in singleplayer or on your own server.

### How big is Emion?

4,096 × 4,096 blocks, so about 17 million blocks of surface. Walking from one edge to the other takes roughly 16 minutes at normal walking speed. The terrain runs from Y 0 to Y 255.

Outside that area the world keeps generating normal vanilla Minecraft chunks, so you never hit a wall, you just leave the built part behind.

### Which Minecraft version does Emion need?

Emion is built for Minecraft Java **1.16**. Newer releases normally open it fine. Opening it in an *older* release is not supported: blocks and structures added after that version cannot load, and the world can be damaged by the attempt.

Bedrock players need a converted copy. See [the Bedrock notes in the FAQ](https://mcmeddon.com/faq#install-bedrock).

### Which biomes are in Emion?

7 in total. The land is mostly Plains (79.5%), Snowy Plains (8.9%), Forest (6.7%) and Jungle (4.9%), counted as shares of the land rather than of the whole map.

Water covers 66.1% of the map, and land 33.9%.

By volume this world's caves are Normal Caves (99.9%) and Magma Caves (0.1%). The [cave breakdown](https://mcmeddon.com/worlds/20210121-emion#caves) has the rest.

The [full breakdown](https://mcmeddon.com/worlds/20210121-emion#biome-composition) is further up this page, with every biome and its share.

### Which structures are in Emion?

2 of the 19 structure types the scan checks are confirmed present: surface (0/7), underground (2/6), ocean (0/4), portal structures (0/1) and settlements (0/1).

Not confirmed: Desert pyramids (not checked), Igloos (not checked), Jungle pyramids (not checked), Pillager outposts (not checked), Swamp huts (not checked) and Trail ruins (not checked). "Searched, not found" means the scan looked and came up empty; "not checked" means it has not been looked for yet.

[The structure list](https://mcmeddon.com/worlds/20210121-emion#structure-coverage) above names every one of them.

### Is Emion ready to play in survival?

Yes. A scan of the world file confirms loot tables, structures and ores, so the survival loop runs from the first night: chests hold the game's real loot tables, mobs spawn as they do anywhere else, and you can mine, farm and build without adding anything. It plays in vanilla Minecraft, with no mods, no datapacks and no creative mode.

The scan did not see animals in this export. That means it did not find any, not that none can be found or bred here.
