# Wolerian

*Between Cliffs and Mountains · Download, 4k, 1.16+, Java & Bedrock, Realistic Multibiome Minecraft Survival World*

Wolerian is a huge 16km² Minecraft custom Multibiome terrain. With huge cliffed mainlands and enormous snowcovered mountains. Wolerian is a custom realistic formed fantasy world, also focusing on an enhanced Minecraft vanilla experience. As progress continues, the main focus was on restructuring and including a extreme detail and variational highland for this map. To improve and make the map more exciting especially for explorers.

A 4 km by 4 km realistic Minecraft island with custom biomes, made by McMeddon. It's an Island with multiple huge mountain ranges, hard cliffs, falls, flows, layered terrains and hard eroded peaks with: new swamp regions, pine biomes, taiga/spruce, oak, and custom arctic regions. Landform adjusted river systems and temperature-controlled Biomes. Find custom mineshafts and explore the custom advanced biomes. Explore along the paths that connect the world or take a boat and cross the ocean with a near-seamless transition to the default Minecraft Vanilla generation.

## Biomes

Shares are measured across the built map. Past its edge the world keeps generating normal vanilla Minecraft chunks, so biomes missing from this list can still be found out there.

## Structures

5 of 15 confirmed present. A pinned marker outranks the scan; anything not confirmed is what the scan alone recorded.

## Questions about this world

### What is Wolerian?

Wolerian is a hand-made survival world of 4,608 × 4,608 blocks, made with WorldPainter, World Machine, Gaea, Axiom and WorldEdit, built for Minecraft Java 1.16.5. You download the world folder and play it like any other save, in singleplayer or on your own server.

### How big is Wolerian?

4,608 × 4,608 blocks, so about 21 million blocks of surface. Walking from one edge to the other takes roughly 18 minutes at normal walking speed. The terrain runs from Y -64 to Y 320.

Outside that area the world keeps generating normal vanilla Minecraft chunks, so you never hit a wall, you just leave the built part behind.

### Which Minecraft version does Wolerian need?

Wolerian is built for Minecraft Java **1.16.5**. Newer releases normally open it fine. Opening it in an *older* release is not supported: blocks and structures added after that version cannot load, and the world can be damaged by the attempt.

Bedrock players need a converted copy. See [the Bedrock notes in the FAQ](https://mcmeddon.com/faq#install-bedrock).

### Which biomes are in Wolerian?

16 in total. The land is mostly Plains (72.6%), Snowy Plains (15.8%), Old Growth Pine Taiga (4.0%) and Jungle (2.7%), counted as shares of the land rather than of the whole map.

Water covers 64.9% of the map, and land 35.1%.

The [full breakdown](https://mcmeddon.com/worlds/20210528-wolerian#biome-composition) is further up this page, with every biome and its share.

### Which structures are in Wolerian?

5 of the 15 structure types the scan checks are confirmed present: surface (0/6), ocean (2/4), underground (3/3), portal structures (0/1) and settlements (0/1).

Not confirmed: Desert pyramids (not checked), Igloos (not checked), Jungle pyramids (not checked), Pillager outposts (not checked), Swamp huts (not checked) and Woodland mansions (not checked). "Searched, not found" means the scan looked and came up empty; "not checked" means it has not been looked for yet.

[The structure list](https://mcmeddon.com/worlds/20210528-wolerian#structure-coverage) above names every one of them.

### Is Wolerian ready to play in survival?

Yes. A scan of the world file confirms loot tables, structures and ores, so the survival loop runs from the first night: chests hold the game's real loot tables, mobs spawn as they do anywhere else, and you can mine, farm and build without adding anything. It plays in vanilla Minecraft, with no mods, no datapacks and no creative mode.

The scan did not see animals in this export. That means it did not find any, not that none can be found or bred here.

The [world contents report](https://mcmeddon.com/worlds/20210528-wolerian#world-contents) at the bottom of this page holds the item-by-item detail.
