## Structures

## Questions about this world

### What is Zianberg?

Zianberg is a hand-made survival world of 5,120 × 5,120 blocks, made with WorldPainter, World Machine, Gaea, Axiom and WorldEdit, built for Minecraft Java 1.17. You download the world folder and play it like any other save, in singleplayer or on your own server.

### How big is Zianberg?

5,120 × 5,120 blocks, so about 26 million blocks of surface. Walking from one edge to the other takes roughly 20 minutes at normal walking speed. The terrain runs from Y -64 to Y 320.

Outside that area the world keeps generating normal vanilla Minecraft chunks, so you never hit a wall, you just leave the built part behind.

### Which Minecraft version does Zianberg need?

Zianberg is built for Minecraft Java **1.17**. Newer releases normally open it fine. Opening it in an *older* release is not supported: blocks and structures added after that version cannot load, and the world can be damaged by the attempt.

Bedrock players need a converted copy. See [the Bedrock notes in the FAQ](https://mcmeddon.com/faq#install-bedrock).

### Which biomes are in Zianberg?

18 in total. The land is mostly Plains (72.3%), Snowy Plains (14.5%), Forest (5.2%) and Old Growth Pine Taiga (2.5%), counted as shares of the land rather than of the whole map.

Water covers 71.5% of the map, and land 28.4%.

The [full breakdown](https://mcmeddon.com/worlds/20210630-zianberg#biome-composition) is further up this page, with every biome and its share.

### Which structures are in Zianberg?

9 of the 19 structure types the scan checks are confirmed present: surface (0/7), underground (4/6), ocean (4/4), portal structures (1/1) and settlements (0/1).

Not confirmed: Desert pyramids (not checked), Igloos (not checked), Jungle pyramids (not checked), Pillager outposts (not checked), Swamp huts (not checked) and Trail ruins (not checked). "Searched, not found" means the scan looked and came up empty; "not checked" means it has not been looked for yet.

[The structure list](https://mcmeddon.com/worlds/20210630-zianberg#structure-coverage) above names every one of them.

### Is Zianberg ready to play in survival?

Yes. A scan of the world file confirms loot tables, structures, animals and ores, so the survival loop runs from the first night: chests hold the game's real loot tables, mobs spawn as they do anywhere else, and you can mine, farm and build without adding anything. It plays in vanilla Minecraft, with no mods, no datapacks and no creative mode.

The [world contents report](https://mcmeddon.com/worlds/20210630-zianberg#world-contents) at the bottom of this page holds the item-by-item detail.

### Can I look at Zianberg before downloading it?

Yes. [Open it in the 3D explorer](https://mcmeddon.com/worlds/20210630-zianberg/explore) and fly the real terrain in your browser, with the biomes, the caves and the marked structures. Nothing to install.
